Shoe made by photogrammetry

Shoe designed using a digital model of the foot obtained by photogrammetry, that is, transforming photographs into a three-dimensional model. The upper is made with different textured fabrics and the sole is 3D printed with flexible material.

The objective was to create a custom shoe to optimally fit a particular person, as well as to investigate the performance of 3D printing flexible material to be used in footwear.

The project consisted of 3 main stages. First, a real foot was scanned and transformed into a 3D digital model. The shoe was then custom designed to fit the foot pattern. Finally, the digital model of the shoe was used to manufacture the sole and cut the fabric.
